We love a good Madewell collaboration, and the latest has summer vacation written all over it. The brand teamed up with cool Austin-based boutique JM Drygoods for an exclusive capsule collection consisting of six casual, colorful pieces (released today). JM Drygoods specializes in travel-friendly pieces, as does Madewell, making it a sartorial match made in heaven. The two retailers melded their expertise to create reworked vintage and handmade pieces, including an embroidered army jacket, beach-ready totes, and a pretty peasant top. But the piece that instantly screamed "buy me now" to us was a pair of vintage reworked light-wash Levi's adorned with a simple colorful floral motif. Embroidery and patches are a big trend this season, and you can't go wrong with high-waisted Levi's. Not to mention they're the perfect subtle match for other summery hues. Trust us—if you buy one pair of denim shorts this year, make it this special one.
