When you care about fashion, as most of us do, packing for a weekend vacation can be tantamount to a full-blown affair. Taking into consideration variables like weather, outings, and their ilk is essential, and finding a way to fit it all into your carry-on is crucial (showing up with a full-size suitcase for two days is a tad excessive).

So when photographer Gray Malin invited me to join him and his team at The Surf Lodge in Montauk to celebrate his artwork being featured in the hotel’s newly designed rooms, I began conjuring the outfits below.
