For the last couple of years, there’s been a massive move toward comfortable footwear worn outside the gym. Thanks to street style blogs and even brands like J.Crew that showcase how to style trainers with unexpected closet companions like pencil skirts and sundresses, this traditionally athletic shoe is now a major style ingredient. So major, in fact, that celebrities like Olivia Palermo have slipped out of their pumps and into everything from white leather iterations to bejeweled designer versions.
