Alessandra Ambrosio just proved this theory with her latest lunchtime look. The model stepped out in a billowy off-the-shoulder high-low dress from Camilla and Marc (whew, that was a mouthful). Although the piece is technically classified as a cocktail dress, she made it work for daytime by opting for a pair of brown leather heeled sandals. She could just as easily make it work for a night out by throwing on a classic pair of Stuart Weitzmans and a moto jacket. Like I said—you've gotta love the power of shoes.
