Hermès Just Created the Chicest Laundromat on the Planet
3:17:00 PMWhat do you think of when you hear the the word Hermès? Perhaps it's the Birkin or Kelly bags, but there's another piece that's right up there with those legendary accessories: the silk scarves. Hermès's printed scarves are one of the brand's chicest signatures, and now the house has found a genius way to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the piece. According to WWD, Hermès is launching a series of pop-ups where you can custom-dye your scarf, as well as buy new ones to add to your collection.
"The temporary units are launching in Strasbourg, Amsterdam, Munich and Kyoto," WWD writes. "Washing machines in the brand’s signature orange color give scarves a blue or pink rinse, and a dryer restores them to their original softness. The process takes 48 hours and is free of charge." It's safe to say this will be the most enjoyable trip to the laundromat you've ever experienced. Head over to WWD to find out more about the pop-ups.
