While we love winter dressing for the layering opportunities it provides, we admit that on particularly chilly days our enthusiasm is lessened. When the temperature nears freezing and any bit of skin that remains exposed when we step outside is instantly assaulted by the blustering cold, dressing up can become a difficult task.

Thankfully, the world has Alexa Chung to demonstrate that it's possible to still look chic even when the weather is working against you. Stepping out in a straightforward skinny jeans uniform that was every bit ready for winter, Chung gave us plenty of direction for cold-weather dressing. Bundling up in a fur-lined leather jacket, Chung balanced her top-heavy look with gray skinny jeans and ankle boots. She brightened up the otherwise dark ensemble with a light knit beanie.
