These New Adidas Sneakers Are Made of the Craziest High-Tech Material
1:43:00 PMOf the future: Adidas is going high-tech. As Quartz reports, the brand has created sneakers using synthetic spider silk, which replicates the strong-yet-lightweight feeling of real spider silk and has “potential to be the strongest fully natural material available.” Of course, a forward-thinking concept has to have a forward-thinking name: Adidas has dubbed the sneakers the Futurecraft Biofabric. An executive from the brand says we can expect a release next year—but only in limited quantities. Can't wait!
New launch: ASOS Magazine has officially landed in the U.S. Though the glossy first launched back in 2006, it has finally expanded stateside, and we couldn't be more excited. Shop ASOS online now!
Deep pockets: According to WWD, designer Tommy Hilfiger scored several pieces of Marilyn Monroe's posessions in a recent auction, including an $187,000 evening bag, and a pair of $37,000 jeans she wore in a film. When can we borrow them?
Sale alert: On the Cyber Monday prowl? Here's another e-commerce site to bookmark: Madison. The Los Angeles–based retailer will be offering 30% off regular-priced items, which includes designers like A.L.C., Illesteva, Rag & Bone, and more. Happy shopping!
