While it goes without saying that black tights may not be the most exciting thing you can wear, they're a basic that adds versatility in spades to your wardrobe. That denim miniskirt you adored this summer? Still wearable! That dress you're not quite ready to part with until next spring? Just add tights! Given the staple status of the item this time of year especially, we've been on the lookout for fresh new ways of incorporating them into outfits, and Karlie Kloss just displayed a standout one. 

The perennially polished model wore a shearling-lined denim jacket (one of our favorite transitional pieces), a mock neck top, leather mini skirt, and ankle boots with her black tights. Thanks to the skirt, you could wear the outfit out at night and thanks to the slightly rugged jacket, it's equally appropriate for more casual daytime occasions. It's especially perfect for NYC girls (i.e. Karlie), given that they love to wear black and it's warm enough to ensure that they can look chic without freezing (it is November after all, folks).
