This Is What Lululemon's New Leggings Have in Common With Chanel

It seems like every brand these days is designing its take on leggings to get in on the craze, but Lululemon won the world over years ago and continues to up its game with new special releases. The brand hired its first-ever creative director, Lee Holman, one year ago, which explains the newfound focus on design. Case in point: Lululemon's latest collaboration, named Featherlight, is of the decidedly high-fashion artistic variety.

According to WWD, Holman found Brazilian textile artist Janaïna Milheiro at a couture fair (sign us up for one of those!) and asked her to create three prints for the brand. Says WWD, "Milheiro is best known for her intricate work weaving feathers and silks to create detailed patterns and textures," and she's worked with heavy-hitters like Chanel, Valentino, and Proenza Schouler (among others).

The collection features three pairs of leggings with the different black-and-white hand-cut feather prints on the brand's signature Nulux fabric. When else will you get an opportunity to buy a pair of leggings with craftmanship worthy of Chanel for under $130?
