Of course, there's nothing wrong with going the traditional route for your wedding dress, but out-of-the-ordinary bridal looks never fail to pique our interest. For instance, we were obsessed when one stylist eschewed a dress in favor of a jeans-and-lacy-top combo, and when a Victoria's Secret model opted for an entirely sheer dress for her nuptials. Now, you can add Girls star Zosia Mamet to that list of unconventional brides.

Vogue profiled the actress's wedding, and we immediately zeroed in on her curve-hugging black gown. Mamet told the magazine the story behind the dress, revealing that her friends had taken her to a department store to search for options. "We must have tried on 40 dresses," she told Vogue. "I wanted something comfortable, and I didn’t really want to wear white. The dress I ultimately chose was by Givenchy, and it was the last one I tried on—the minute it went over my head, both my friends gasped."
