If you obsess over a certain celebrity's style, you may track down her shopping list, follow her personal stylist on Instagram, and curate Pinterest boards filled with outfits she's worn. But this week we learned that there’s a much simpler way to actually get her look. And it requires Twitter.

As one Chrissy Teigen fan found out, sometimes all it takes is a polite tweet to get yourself a legitimate hand-me-down. Last night, @rebecca_howe42 reached out asking about Teigen's off-the-shoulder, body-con, and very timely and festive look that she wore for Lip Sync Battle's "Country Holidays" special: "@chrissyteigen but seriously when you're done with that red dress from this week's @SpikeLSB can I have it please." Teigan took all of two minutes to respond: "I am done. DM me your address!"

We can't be sure all celebrities would be willing to give a stranger anything in their closet, and plenty of them might not even keep all the clothing they wear on a TV show. But in this case, things worked out in Howe's favor. It really gives new meaning to the cliché "it never hurts to ask."
