This Is How to Style a Winter Outfit for a Warm Day

6:06:00 PM

With winter dressing we have our go-tos—coats, scarves, and boots ready to take on the colder temperatures. But on days when we're unexpectedly met with temperatures that rise above the season's norms, adjusting our attire can prove tricky. We've already packed away lighter pieces and getting into the styling mindset for a sixty-something degree day when we've been braving bone-chilling temps doesn't always come naturally. Leave it to Rosie Huntington-Whitely to show us how it's done.

In a photo she posted today on Instagram aptly captioned, "Hello December," Huntington-Whitely dressed  for Los Angeles's 50-degree morning (brisk for locals, mild for everyone else) in an on point ensemble. Much of her outfit was enveloped by a long Acne Studios wool cashmere coat, structured so subtly it hangs more like a duster cardigan. Beneath she wore a casual tee tucked into ripped skinny jeans, topping it off with a Gucci belt and coordinating Gucci fur mules in a bold red colorway. The mix of casual staples (cotton tee and distress skinnies) with wintery pieces that flirted with fall (unstructured long coat and fur mules) were the perfect formula for navigating a warm winter day.
