Amal Clooney's ultra-polished maternity style has been on full display throughout the past week, including a breathtaking turn on the red carpet. Clooney is currently in Paris with husband George and is undoubtedly living up to the cities' chic standards. Clooney's latest look consisted of an embellished coat, black and white dress (her color combination of choice this week), and a directional shoe style that was all over the runways of the most recent NYFW: tall slouchy boots.

According to Footwear News, this is going to be fall's biggest shoe trend. They recently said, "The most dominant and directional women’s shoe trend during New York Fashion Week, which started on Feb. 8 and wrapped up yesterday, was the statement slouch boot, seen at such brands as Victoria Beckham, Oscar de la Renta and Yeezy." Clooney's slouchy tall black leather boots are right in keeping with that forecast. (That said, slouchy short boots are officially passé, so be sure to look for knee-high or over-the-knee iterations.)
