You can always count on Alexander Wang to add an element of surprise to NYFW, and put on the most talked about show of the season. His F/W 17 event last night was no exception. Wang had his cool girl cast of models and the rest of the fashion industry travel up to an old abandoned theatre in Harlem where they were greeted with an elevated runway, blaring music, and kegs of beer. The collection had a strong '90s goth overtone with lots of black and leather and models like Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Binx Walton, and Hanne Gaby Odiele made up the Alexander Wang gang.

But it's what the show didn't have that everyone is buzzing about today. While last year's Alexander Wang afterparty was of epic proportions (with a McDonald's truck on hand), this year the show was the party. The phrase "No after party"  was emblazoned on the wristbands, Wang's T-shirt, and even the tights many of the models wore in the show (Bella and Kendall included). And naturally, the #1 thing that everyone in attendance wanted to post to Instagram was the model's statement-making (literally) graphic tights. Fittingly, the hashtag for the show was #NOAFTERPARTY.
