From tips on tying scarves to advice on buying cashmere, we love offering guidance for those seemingly simple (yet sometimes tricky) sartorial quandaries. Cuffing your jeans also fits into this category. Of course, there are plenty of ways to do it, but why not follow an expert's lead?

For J.Crew's new Style Hacks episode, the brand's editor in chief, Halsey Anderson, and women's designer, Somsack Sikhounmuong, illustrated two ways to cuff your jeans. J.Crew has even named the techniques: One is dubbed "the 1986 cuff," which is achieved by pinching the sides before you cuff to create a tapered effect, and the other is the "Hello, Sailor cuff," which features a six-inch cuff that hits right above the ankle bone.
