We never put it past Gigi Hadid to stun us with her forward-thinking style, but when she recently stepped out in a pair of boots not only you, but also your dad probably own, we gave her a well-deserved slow clap. She so boldly sported a classic pair of patent leather Dr. Martens—a brand that has been around since 1901. Like any true It-girl, Gigi styled the timeless boots in a completely modern light by way of skinny sweatpants, a retro bomber jacket, and statement sunnies. 

Every once in a while, a fashion girl will remind us of just how cool Dr. Martens can really be, and Gigi's outfit was no exception. However, if the athleisure-inspired getup isn't necessarily your aesthetic, why not try a pair of these boots with a floral sundress on a warm day, or with distressed boyfriend jeans and a graphic T-shirt? Trust us when we say there's a reason these boots have been around since the beginning of time—okay our time at least.
