While I'm certainly a life-long fan of Sex and the City, I've never really found myself wanting to emulate Carrie Bradshaw. I adore her daring sense of style and the way that Sarah Jessica Parker effortlessly pulled off even the most polarizing of looks, but I won't be strutting down the street in a tutu and stilettos anytime soon. 

Since Sex and the City entered our lives (and never left us fashion girls' lives), "Carrie Bradshaw-inspired" has been a sartorial selling point. Perhaps it could be that it's overused, but whatever the reason, it never really convinced me to buy anything...until now. I recently spotted on Leandra Medine's Instagram that a "#CarrieShoe" was soon to be released by her MR by Man Repeller collection for Net-a-Porter. They were reminiscent of one of my favorite Carrie Bradshaw shoes: a pair of crystal-embellished PVC stiletto mules that she wore with a floral print slip dress in the third season of the series. They're unabashedly girly and I haven't taken an interest in actually wearing clear plastic shoes since my '90s-era jellies days, but these metallic purple-heeled sandals were too cool to forget, and I've been stalking them every day since. They just launched on Net-a-Porter and stock is already running low on a number of sizes, which tells me that I'm not the only fashion girl who finds these "Carrie Bradshaw shoes" highly irresistible.
