Uniqlo Just Announced Its Next Collaboration—and It's So Good

10:00:00 AM

Uniqlo has just announced its next designer collaboration, and we think you’ll be as excited as we are: The retailer is teaming up with chic British brand (and It bag whisperer) J.W.Anderson on a collection for fall 2017.

“Collaborations are incredibly important in design,” designer Jonathan Anderson said in a press release. “When I think of Uniqlo, I think of things that are perfectly made, that people have spent a lot of time considering; it’s a difficult job, and I think Uniqlo does it very well. Working with Uniqlo is probably the most incredible template of democracy in fashion, and it’s nice that my designs can be accessible to anyone, on all different levels.”

According to Yuki Katsuta, Uniqlo’s senior vice president of fast retailing, the collection will offer a mix of traditionally British details and forward-thinking designs. “The British Isles constitute a treasure house of such apparel, with duffle coats and fisherman’s sweaters being just two examples,” Katsuta said in a statement. “In partnering with J.W.Anderson, one of Britain’s most innovative and creative brands, we will tap into traditions while pursuing progress in designs and fabrics, to craft styles that are enduringly appealing.” Something tells us this collection will sell out in no time.
