Victoria Beckham Makes This Racy Trend Totally Work-Appropriate

Mesh fabric would make most HR employees cringe. Bella Hadid may sport it off-duty and Selena Gomez can wear it out and about, but it feels a lot more nightclub- than boardroom-ready. However, Victoria Beckham’s latest look proves that the trend has a lot more to offer than meets the eye.

In a look plucked right from her own F/W 17 runway, Beckham styled a maroon maxi skirt with a blue oxford. The top of the skirt, however, featured a sheer panel that created a high-waisted silhouette, which subtly showed off her crisp, tucked-in shirt. Meanwhile, the delicate skirt was paired with a tall boot in a similar color, which created a bit more opacity and offset any possible office-inappropriate vibes.

It's impressive that this club trend can be so versatile. And yet we're not so surprised that Beckham, a total boss, would make this unexpected pairing work so well. Scroll down to take a look at how it's done.
