For whatever reason, the leggings trend has continued to take off like wildfire amongst the fashion community and there seems to be no end in sight. Even as the rise of the athleisure trend moves forward into more innovative and sartorial spaces, leggings are the one item it seems no one is willing to retire—except for the French. Curious by the above phenomena, I wanted to see if this comfortable pant style was as popular amongst the most stylish women I know—Parisians—as it is here in America. 

After asking four of the French girls ahead a few general questions about their personal preferences on leggings, one thing was clear and that was that the French don't really wear leggings anywhere else besides the gym. With so many alternative pant styles out there these days, the women ahead waste no time dabbling in this trend that they associate with bad taste and a lack of elegance—their words, not mine.
