Given that the majority of her public appearances call for sophisticated attire—like a dinner in Paris or a black-tie gala in London—Kate Middleton isn't usually spotted in sneakers. So when she does step out wearing the casual shoes, you better believe we take notice. After all, who doesn't love seeing royalty in items we already own? 

The Duchess of Cambridge has only worn sneakers a few times this year, but she has always managed to look chic. For the London Marathon, she wore Superga's Cotu Sneakers ($65) with a pared-down, all-black outfit. She also wore the same shoes with skinny jeans and a cute striped T-shirt earlier this month. And last but not least, she opted for New Balance x Sweaty Betty Exclusive Sneakers ($145) for an event at a track, proving that she has the sporty chic look down to a science.
