The annual Time 100 Gala took place last night, and it brought out all the stars to celebrate the magazine's list of the 100 most influential people. As influencers and celebrities alike walked the red carpet, we noticed that they made some very similar fashion choices.

Many of the attendees who walked the Time 100 red carpet wore plunging V-neck necklines on gowns and tops. Everyone from Blake Lively to Sarah Paulson put their own spin on the deep V-neck style, adding lace, belts, or appliqué to complete their looks.

This isn't a huge surprise—the V-neck is a classic and popular choice for T-shirts and dresses alike—but the sheer number of people who chose this look cemented it as a style staple of the evening.
