The Met Gala has cemented its place as an annual fashion spectacular, and on May 1, we'll be treated to another notoriously stylish Met Gala red carpet. The 2017 Met Gala theme is Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons, and in celebration, retailers are using their stores to give people access to some of Kawakubo's red carpet-worthy work. 

The online luxury retailer Farfetch has partnered with the Comme des Garcons archive boutique Dot COMME to pay homage to Comme des Garcons and Rei Kawakubo. The homage includes interviews and editorial shoots, but it also includes shoppable Commes des Garcons pieces that can go right from the archive into your closet (for the right price). 

To say its an extensive collection is an understatement. Dot COMME has collected Commes des Garcons pieces for more than a decade, so there's a lot to choose from. But whether you're going to the Met Gala or not, a Commes des Garcons piece is an investment.
