5 Things I Refuse to Wear on Dates Anymore
10:00:00 PM"Dress to impress" is a mantra that applies perhaps nowhere better than in dating, from the excitement of picking what to wear to nerves that cause us all to change our outfits (usually more than once). While once, impressing my date meant going all-out when it came to my outfit (sky-high heels, tight skirt—you know the drill), as I've come into my own, I've come to appreciate the fact that dressing for myself is the best thing I can do.
Since dating ranks pretty high when it comes to activities that make you acutely self-conscious, it's what I wear that has come to be my protection. If I feel good in what I'm wearing, I'm more focused on the momentat hand instead of getting lost in second-guessing and constant discomfort.
It's important to note that what works for me won't be a fit for every woman, but I'd like to highlight a few of the style swaps I've made that have helped boost my confidence when meeting my latest Tinder match. Below are five things I broke up with to improve my dating life.
