She may be most recognizable in a metal bustier, armored boots, and pointed tiara—but when she's not bringing Wonder Woman to life on the big screen, Gal Gadot has some serious red carpet style of her own. 

With the help of stylist Elizabeth Stewart (whose client list also includes Julia Roberts, Jessica Chastain, and Amanda Seyfried), the Israeli actress has emerged as a rising star this year, not only for the blue-chip designers she's worn (think Prada, Givenchy, Mugler, and the like), but for her superhero-worthy decision to forgo heels on the Wonder Woman press tour in favor of flats—and often super-affordable ones at that!

Gadot told USA Today that she's had the idea for years, and finally decided to go for it: "I love wearing high heels—it's beautiful, it's sexy, whatever. But at the same time, especially stilettos, it puts us out of balance. We can fall any minute. It's not good for our backs. Why do we do it? I can wear high heels (despite having a sprained back [from training]). But I was like, 'Let's wear flats!' I've been waiting for this moment."
