Since we are in the peak of summer, some of you may have already forgotten about the incredible trends we saw come down the F/W17 runways, but we sure haven't. In an effort to get you just as jazzed as we are for the season ahead, we wanted to let you in on a little insider information: the trend you were in love with last season is officially making its grand return—velvet. 

Considering just how quickly this fall trend took off in 2016, we will admit we are semi surprised to see it turn back around so quickly, but we definitely aren't mad about it, and we don't think you will be either. This season, expect for the velvet trend to take on a slightly new persona, one that's more elevated than seasons past. For that, you can thank designers like Prada, Koche, and Erdem for that, as they sent out tailored suits, swinging dresses, and grandiose skirts. Ready to see this fall trend in action...again?
