Selena Gomez has been in New York City this week, and we'd like to turn your attention to her style, because simply put, it's epic. In the span of about 12 hours, Gomez stepped out wearing three different dresses of totally varied styles. First, there was the laid-back Victor Glemaud design that took the appearance of a simple black slip dress layered over a long-sleeve white shirt but, in fact, was a one-piece dress.

Then, there was striking and dramatic low-cut, high-slit orange Christopher Kane dress, followed by a gorgeous, sophisticated midnight-blue Jacquemus wrap dress. But the real kicker? All three dresses were styled with the same pair of shoes: single-sole black Louis Vuitton sandal heels.

Gomez has also been seen out and about in some denim-based ensembles while in NYC and is generally just killing it in the style department lately. Her looks are proof that dresses don't have to be boring, overly feminine, or expected (see the orange masterpiece)—and that single-sole black sandals are well worth the investment.
