Why You're Going to Obsess Over Target's New Athleisure Line
4:29:00 PMFitness isn’t one of those things that require a specific budget. You can get in shape with a steep membership to a fancy fitness studio, or you can run laps around whatever park is closest to your home. So it’s only fitting that workout wardrobes should present you with just as many options. In the case of Target’s soon-to-launch athleisure line, you’re about to get all the appeal of head-turning, yoga-to–happy hour gym clothes for less than the price of a cult fitness class.
Target just announced the launch of JoyLab for “those looking for a little edgier, street-fashion vibe” when it comes to leggings, sweatshirts, and other activewear essentials. “It’s fitness-meets-fashion-and-function,” the press release reads. Furthermore, JoyLab is one of four new brands set to debut at the megastore come October. Other new additions include A New Day, a women’s collection with a day-to-night vibe; Goodfellow & Co., a men’s line with a classic but far-from-stuffy aesthetic; and Project 62, a modern home collection that drops just in time to spruce up your abode for the holidays.
Naturally, the line of non-basic leggings and workout gear speaks to us since athleisure has become a ubiquitous part of style and an important addition to most of our wardrobes.
Take a look at some of the debut pieces below, and then plan your trip to Target come October.
