Look in any It girl's closet, and chances are her shoe collection includes a pair of Nike's Cortez sneakers. The throwback classics have resurfaced as a favorite among the women whose Instagrams you're constantly double-tapping and saving for style inspiration. Now the sneakers are getting a cool L.A. spin thanks to a collaboration with Los Angeles–based fashion label A.L.C.

The Cortez comes in three monochromatic styles, gray, light brown, and terra-cotta. The suede sneakers have a casual-cool feel that work just as well for a relaxed L.A. office as they do a trip to the beach. "We are always on duty and want to look good and feel good no matter what we are doing," designer Andrea Lieberman said in a press release. "I design A.L.C. clothes with a sneaker in mind, and I think people have started to style their daily outfits with sneakers in mind too."

Below, see the campaign for the new sneakers, which was shot in Venice and stars models Bhumika Arora and Cindy Bruna along with Olympian Gabby Douglas. Then, mark your calendars for August 25, when the sneakers will be available to shop at special Nordstrom x Nike boutiques (for those of us who just can't wait). Not near one? On August 28, they'll be shoppable online in a few key spots, including A.L.C.'s and Nike's websites.
