A statement tee can say a lot about who you are—the bands you listen to, the burger joints you frequent. For fashion icon Giovanna Battaglia Engelbert, a new line of T-shirts is a way to share her insight.

"The T-shirts are instructions from my book—quotes and rules I’ve outlined," she says.

Along with her forthcoming book, Gio_Graphy, Engelbert has taken over the windows at New York's Bergdorf Goodman and additionally is releasing a capsule collection of t-shirts that fit in with her eye-catching style."The shape of the t-shirt is a shirt I’ve wanted to exist for a long time," she noted via email. "I like to think of it as if Audrey Hepburn had a t-shirt. So I designed my dream one with a thicker jersey, pressed rolled up sleeves and a high neck. It is casual but it is very well put together." Already, the trendsetter has shared photos of herself in the tees, and we have a feeling it won't be long until her whole crew tries them on for size.
