Showing skin is nothing new in the realm of celebrity style—the world’s most famous faces have long been baring as much as they can get away with, both on the red carpet and off. But we’ve been noticing an especially brazen kind of skin-baring this summer: ultra-deep cleavage.

We probably have Kim Kardashian to thank for this, at least partially: she’s been at the forefront of the cleavage movement, while simultaneously becoming the fashion world’s new darling. This would suggest that cleavage, far from being a somewhat distasteful ploy for attention, is being welcomed as an actual trend.
