The $68 Jeans Everyone Asks Me About
11:43:00 AMWhen we here at Who What Wear heard that Everlane was launching a denim collection, our hearts may or may not have skipped a beat. Considering the incredible (and affordable) product this approachable brand regularly churns out, we instantly had high hopes for the jeans we were about to see, and we were not disappointed.
Everlane's new denim collection truly has something for the denim-obsessed of all kind ranging from skinny jeans to comfy boyfriend styles in the classic shades you'll wear forever. And in true Everlane fashion, there is a greater purpose being served behind the scenes. The brand informed us that "Everlane denim is made at a Silver LEED certified facility that recycles 98% of its water, drastically reducing its impact on the earth. Saitex, Everlane's denim factory in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam also uses ozone machines and aerial drying to reduce the facility's impact on the environment." Okay Everlane, you've convinced us...as if we weren't already swooning.
It may or may not come as a surprise that I needed to get my hands on a pair ASAP and at $68, I truly had no qualms. I opted for the Modern Boyfriend Jean in Mid Blue. Since I am on the petite side, I don't always love an overly baggy boyfriend jean, but these fit me just right—not too baggy, not too tight. When I wore these (scroll down for pictures) to a few shows during NYFW, I received dozens compliments from my co-workers, strangers on the street, and more. Unfortunately, Everlane's denim collection currently has a waitlist of around 44,000 people and counting, but don't let that discourage you. With such high demand, the brand is sure to stock back up on product soon and if we have learned anything from Everlane in the past, it's that items with a waiting list are well, worth the wait.
Go on to see how I styled my favorite pair of Everlane jeans and to shop them for yourself.
