Ashley Olsen has left her acting days far behind, but that doesn't mean the designer is out of the Hollywood loop. Last night, Olsen attended W Magazine's pre-Golden Globes party, dressed in head-to-toe black, a style that is one of Ashley's signatures over the years. She forewent a dress, opting instead for a crop top and full skirt, and finishing off with a pair of mid-height glove heels. 

Despite the fact that comfortable block heels are on the rise, for fancy parties and red carpets, we tend to expect celebrities in stilettos. But, Ashley Olsen is never one to follow the crowd, instead she tends to be a step ahead of the well-heeled crowd. So, while not every celebrity is yet on board with Olsen's heel choice, the may well be soon. Are you ready to embrace a lower, comfier heel for the coming year?
