They’re also great because you can wear them all year long, from fall and winter and then to transition into spring and summer. I love pairing a classic blazer (like this navy one) with a trendier straw bag and some bright white jeans. I also love when I find a good statement blazer, and I’m obsessed with the ribbon detailing on this one! I think we all know by now the importance of sunscreen and and the role it plays in our health and anti-aging. I didn’t start getting really serious about my skincare and SPF until my late 20s and now I am religious about it, especially SPF! Any esthetician or dermatologist will tell you the same thing – protecting your skin against the sun is the #1 way to prevent signs of aging. A lot of other products will correct and repair, but SPF is the only one that actually prevents damage. It sounds pretty simple, but surprisingly there’s a lot more that goes into it than you’d think! You guys know how much I’m into taking care of my skin, and sunscreen is one of the biggest factors! So here are the 7 mistakes you may not know you’re making when it comes to your sunscreen!
1. SPF SHOULD BE THE LAST STEP IN YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE, BUT BEFORE APPLYING MAKEUP.
Where your SPF application falls into your skincare routine DOES make a difference. It should be applied after all serums, eye creams, and moisturizers, but right before applying your makeup for the best possible protection from UVA and UVB rays.
2. APPLY TO YOUR NECK AND HANDS, NOT JUST YOUR FACE.
The neck and hands are an important place to wear sunscreen, but most people don’t realize that or think about it! The skin on your neck and hands are very thin areas that are more prone to sun damage than anywhere else on your body (other than your face), so make sure you’re always remembering to apply SPF to those areas too!
3. SPF IN YOUR MAKEUP ISN’T ENOUGH.
The beauty industry is full of makeup products containing SPF in foundations, powders, primers and other products. While it’s not a bad thing at all, they should be used in conjunction with complete sunscreen products rather than to replace sunscreen all together, since it doesn’t offer the same level of protection.
4. JUST BECAUSE THE SPF COUNT IS HIGHER DOESN’T MEAN IT’S SAFER.
The shelves are filled with SPFs ranging from zero to 70 nowadays and it can be hard to know which ones to choose. Surprisingly there’s more of a jump between SPF 2 and SPF 15, than there is with SPF 15 to SPF 70. As long as your sunscreen has at least SPF 15 you’ll be good to go! I love this one by Olay and it’s also great for sensitive skin (I have the most sensitive skin!) and I love that it has aloe and Vitamin E in it too.
5. ALWAYS HAVE SPF ON WHEN DRIVING AND EVEN WHEN IT’S CLOUDY OUT.
Rain or shine, inside or out, you always always always want to have sunscreen on. Believe it or not, damaging UV rays penetrate through windows and even through clouds. I’m definitely guilty of this at times, but after getting sunburned in Laguna Beach when it was completely cloudy out, I have been a lot better!!
6. REAPPLY EVERY 1-2 HOURS.
Sunlight slowly but surely breaks down UV filters making your sunscreen wear off throughout the day. Make sure to reapply every 2 hours at least, but more often than that if you’re sweating or swimming!
7. TOSS BOTTLES THAT ARE MORE THAN TWO YEARS OLD.
After two years, sunscreen loses its potency and doesn’t have the same effectiveness. Look for expiration dates on bottles. Sometimes they wear off so you can also put the date you bought it on the bottom of the bottle and toss it once it’s been two years!
What are your tips and tricks for keeping your skin protected? I’d love to hear!

This week, I discovered a Swedish Zara-like high-street brand I had never heard of before, and within 24 hours of finding it, our office had placed a bulk order. Gina Tricot was founded in 1997 and have over 180 stores, but it's relatively unknown here in the UK. However, thanks to the Scandi Instagram set, I think that's about to change. Even the likes of It girls Hanna Stefansson and Emili Sindlev are big fans of Gina Tricot (their pastel suits, square neckline tops and pink midi dresses are what caught my attention). The good news? The brand's pricing is really sharp—in fact, everything on my current wish list is under £50. Keep scrolling to see how some of our favourite influencers are wearing Gina Tricot, and then and shop the best pieces available now.

These jeans have been on repeat lately – love the double hem and 40% off right now!
Love the distressing on this sweatshirt and it’s under $100!
DETAILS: BLACK DISTRESSED SWEATSHIRT (ON SALE 40% OFF – UNDER $100) | FRAYED HEM JEANS (ON SALE 40% OFF) | BLACK SANDALS (LOVE THIS VELVET PAIR) | BLACK TOTE (ON SALE – 30% OFF) | CHECKERED SCARF
Happy Friday guys! Saks is having their sneak peek sale right now so I wanted to share some of my favorites. Whenever one of my favorite retailers has a big sale I finally pull the trigger on everything I’ve been procrastinating on haha. I have been needing new jeans that weren’t distressed (I think 95% of my jeans are distressed and realized I needed something different!) but I wanted something beyond a basic skinny jean, so I was so excited to find these 40% off. This is one of those pieces that I really liked online but I loved when I got them and tried them one – love when that happens! Obsessed with the frayed hem detail and the relaxed fit.
I have been wanting some more basic black tops – I feel like I have so many light colors – and this distressed sweatshirt (on sale under $100) is actually a t-shirt material so it’s perfect for spring or cool summer nights. You can transition it for a night out too – just pair it with heels and a red lip for an edgy, cool date night look. I also got this denim skirt (under $100) and love it with this sweatshirt. It’s the perfect casual cool outfit for running errands during the day. I’ve always loved a sweatshirt-mini skirt combo!
Below are a few more of my favorites from the sale (ends on Sunday!)
XX, Christine

Coined the “Sienna-ssance” by one of our editors, the past few years have catapulted the star’s wardrobe back to the top of our most-wanted lists, thanks to an incredible mix of offbeat red carpet glamour and über-polished weekend wardrobing.
When it comes to perfecting the art of smart-casual, an ever-elusive notion, Sienna nails it every single time. Paperbag-waist trousers? Summer dresses paired with patent brogues ? Red hot leathers? It seems the actress can carry off anything. Still. So naturally, we’ve set about breaking down the secrets that power her knockout wardrobe. The Cannes Film Festival is now in full swing, meaning for the next two weeks, the arrivals hall at the Nice airport will be flooded with the biggest names in Hollywood. The red carpet is considered the most glamorous in the world, but unless you frequently attend galas on yachts, you won't be able to take any practical style tips from the sea of couture gowns.
However, the style parade at the Nice airport is a different story. The airport has turned into its own red carpet of sorts, as a pack of photographers are there for every incoming flight and A-listers are planning their Cannes arrival outfits as if it was a photocall, but this is actually where the likes of Bella Hadid, Jessica Chastain and Julianne Moore wear looks we can all copy. But like any sort of stylish get-together, there will be a few who want to surprise. Case in point for 2018? Well, when you scroll down to see Kendall Jenner's sheer, taupe-coloured leggings and matching backless top styled with high-high-high snakeskin boots, you'll know what we mean. On the flipside, one glance at Kristen Stewart's biker jacket, white tee and slouchy jeans combination and you'll feel more than happy wearing your usual comfy get-up next time you touch down at Heathrow Terminal 5.
Scroll below to see the best outfits that we've spotted at Nice airport so far…

Many of the key buys for 2018 are reworkings of '80s and '90s classics, such as Versace scarf prints, leather belt bags, pastel double-breasted suits and white shoes. This week Kris Jenner hijacked her daughter Kylie's Instagram account to show her collection with Kylie Cosmetics — she wore all black with a chunky gold Chanel chain belt and micro sunglasses. Kris is often overlooked in the fashion department, but this Instagram story reminded me that no-one does diva '80s glamour quite like Kris. Looking at old pictures of Kris, I found her wearing a lavender double-breasted jacket, leopard print swimwear and all of this season's key accessories. Keep scrolling to see — and shop — Kris Jenner's best throwback looks.

Yay, summer is officially here! (At least for now.) The shift in temperature has decreed so much that we can trade ankle boots for sandals, finally get those winter coats dry-cleaned and embrace all manner of summer dresses for the office. Except it feels like so long since we got to dress like this that we’ve sort of forgotten how to do it. It was all well and good on the Bank Holiday weekend when time was no object and we dreamed of going somewhere fun and chilled. However, things are quite different when navigating the Central line while wearing new sandals and then turning up to a rather sauna-like office.
So we thought it'd be best to be honest about the situation and provide IRL inspiration for you when you come across this situation again yourself this summer. We documented what Team Who What Wear UK and Team Byrdie UK decided to dress in for a hot day’s work today. Keep scrolling to see the results.

Need a distraction from your 9-to-5? Or rather, another distraction, after all the red carpet glory of the weekend's Met Gala in New York. Well, of course you do. Allow us to turn your attention to the illustrious Cannes Film Festival on the south coast of France, where dramatic dresses and couture gowns provide plenty of eye candy.
Stalwarts of the festival have so far stuck to personal dress codes. Julianne Moore stepped out in yet another red dress—this time a hand-embroidered caped column gown by Givenchy Haute Couture that was finished with feathers. (Last year she wore another crimson feather-trimmed gown, also by Givenchy Couture.) Cate Blanchett — chair of this year's jury — recycled a Georgio Armani Privé black lace gown she first wore to The Golden Globes in 2014, where she won the Best Performance in a Moving Picture award for her role in Blue Jasmine.
Penelope Cruz has up to now stuck to classic black, wearing an array of black dresses that include a fishtail-backed midi that she accessorised with Atelier Swarovski jewels, and a dramatic lace number with frothy tulle detailing.
Meanwhile, Fan Bing Bing has worn pouffy dresses fit for a princess, including a nude pink couture Ralph & Russo gown that was covered in a delicate layer of sparkle.
Scroll down to see our favourite looks, and check back during the entire 11-day affair to see all the latest looks straight from the French Riviera.
