Today marked one of the most highly-anticipated collections of the season at Paris Fashion Week: Clare Waight Keller's debut collection for Givenchy. Waight Keller, the former creative director for Chloé, saw much success at that veteran French fashion house, so the industry has been buzzing about what she would do in her new role at Givenchy upon taking the reigns from Riccardo Tisci. Her debut collection, shown this morning, was full of polished, cool-glamorous pieces in a mostly-black, white, and red palette. Many of the looks were paired with a boot style that's been trending for fall: cowboy boots. Except Waight Keller gave hers an ultra-flattering update: a deep V-shaped scallop at boot's shaft. Instead of cutting the legs off just below the knee, it showed a little more skin, which in turn lengthed the appearance of the legs.

We fully expect to see this chic, flattering take on the cowboy trend on plenty of fashion girl's feet come spring.

Happy October, everyone! As we begin to move into October and the coziness of fall, we find ourselves with the sun in Libra (later moving into Scorpio), and with our transit through Libra, diplomacy, relationships, balance, and beauty rule the month. Libra is a Venus-ruled sign, and unlike the transit through her counterpart, Aries (ruled by Mars), we may feel it’s easier to slip into harmonious relations or even indecision around major life events this month. With Libra, our focus shifts to our impact on others, not just ourselves. Libra is more likely to think of others or stay in the middle to avoid discord, and you can try this for the month if you’d like.

Libra is also a sign that rules aesthetics and beauty, so beautifying your life, wardrobe, or regimen in some way are all ruled here. Read on to see your horoscope for the Libra transit this month!
