What do Ruth Negga, Busy Philipps, and Karlie Kloss all have in common? Besides wow-ing us with their gowns on the Oscars red carpet tonight (in Valentino, Elizabeth Kennedy, and Stella McCartney, respectively) the three starlets also took the opportunity to use the award show as a platform for bringing attention to an organization that matters to them: the ACLU. The ladies (plus more attendees) all sported blue ribbons on their dresses in order to show support for the American Civil Liberties Union, which seeks to ensure civil rights and liberties for all. If you ask us, while we swooned over Ruth’s headpiece, Busy’s statement earrings, and Karlie’s glistening choker, the ribbon was the night’s standout accessory.
