Kate Middleton always looks impeccable, as you're well aware, but she usually sticks to the classics. Which is why her dress for the SportsAid Gala in London yesterday was a bit outside the box for her. Middleton gave summer's arguably biggest trend—the cold-shoulder dress—a try. The sleek cobalt blue Roland Mouret number's shoulder detail was in the form of subtly angled cutouts—a sure contrast to many of the more bohemian dresses on the market featuring the exposed-shoulder trend.

The flattering gown is undoubtedly one of Middleton's best looks as of late, and we're anxious to see if she'll be trying more of summer's trends in the near future. (We'd love to see how she wears a bold sporty stripe!)
