Kendall Jenner is no stranger to trying out edgy looks for photo shoots. She's already taken on different personas for a Marc Jacobs campaign, a Love magazine spread, and an Alice in Wonderland–inspired Vogue shoot. Now, for her latest V Magazine cover, she's showing off yet another unexpected look: a massive tattoo on her leg. 

Photographed by the legendary Mario Testino, the image features a snake design by artist Jenai Chin—but don't worry, it's only temporary! V Magazine shot multiple cover versions for this issue, with Joan Smalls, Amber Valletta, Lara Stone, Ellen Rosa, and Carolyn Murphy also nabbing their own covers.

"The story chronicles the notion of the eternalness of tattoos in an industry known for constant change and the choices each cover star has made that felt like personal rebellion," the magazine explained in a press release.
