The Spring Piece I Dropped Everything to Buy

11:46:00 AM

Even if it wasn't my job, I'd still stalk Reformation's new arrivals every Monday and Thursday. I hadn't begun to hone in on what I need (and want, let's be honest) for spring, but as I was doing my usual Monday afternoon scroll through Reformation's new goods, one piece instantly called my name. It was a plaid double-breasted blazer made of linen called the Valero Jacket. Checked double-breasted blazers have been trending ever since Balenciaga sent them down its F/W 16 runway. The fashion crowd quickly caught on and they've been everywhere ever since.

I've been coveting a checked blazer to wear, specifically, with jeans and graphic tees and Reformation's new spring-appropriate lightweight black-and-white version definitely fit the bill. I had a hunch that the blazer would be a hot item, so I added myself to the waiting list and waited for it to become available. I was out to lunch the next day when I saw that it was officially in stock. I noticed that some of the sizes were already sold out, so I ordered it right then and there on my phone. Sure enough, by the time I had left the restaurant, it was completely sold out. On the bright side, it's still available in gingham and a tan striped version, and Reformation oftentimes restocks popular pieces, so take my advice and add your name to the waitlist.

Keep scrolling to see the blazer I dropped everything to buy, and shop the two other equally-stylish iterations.
