The $5 Bridal Accessory You Haven't Considered—but Should

11:57:00 AM

Weddings are expensive, or at least they can be. But during Bridal Fashion Week in New York, happening right now, Marchesa Notte presented an idea that may not be totally brand new but, when applied to the world of bridal style, can be a game changer… and wallet saver.

Like we’ve seen with brands like Tory Burch, which presented a collection of preppy, ribbon-detailed looks at its F/W 17 runway show, the Marchesa brides were all bedecked with simple black trimmings. They were mostly wrapped around low, soft ponytails, with others tied like chokers or as a belt. And with a spool costing you about $5 a pop, a black ribbon—especially for brides who opt to wear a contrasting shade of white—can make for such a simple, chic, and beyond affordable accessory. After all, you can use the money you saved on forgoing an elaborate hair accessory for the honeymoon.
