Last fall, hardly a week would go by that we didn’t spot a pair of Dear Frances shoes—likely the now-famous Spirit boots—on one of our favorite style stars. We’re talking Bella Hadid, Selena Gomez, Emma Roberts, Sofia Richie… we could go on. But now for the label’s first foray into the pre-fall season, it’s championing a trend we’ve already seen a bit of, and we’re ready to dip a toe in, so to speak.

Fuzzy details have been more and more prevalent over the last year, and perhaps that’s why the simple wool slides in Dear Frances’s new lineup caught our eye. The UK brand’s take on the trend isn’t too fussy or over the top, but it rather comes via a clean silhouette and single wool strap. And what’s more, the British label also doubled down on its sustainability efforts in its new line as well, sourcing ethical textiles such as merino wool and silk. It feels like a win-win to us.
