Striped shirts aren't exactly groundbreaking, but they're a wardrobe essential, which Gigi Hadid's chill denim look this week undoubtedly proves. And she's not the only one with the staple shirt style on her brain. According to brand-new data from Pinterest, searches for striped shirts are currently up by 29% year-over-year.

While button-down striped shirts are oftentimes associated with workwear, Hadid showed exactly how to style one for off-duty days (e.g. this weekend). Hadid nonchalantly left a few buttons undone and paired her striped shirt with high-waisted cropped jeans. To add a personal touch to the outfit, she simply added flat mules, delicate jewelry, and an on-trend white handbag (Prada's upcoming Etiquette Bag, which is destined for It-bag status).
