Holly Willoughby and her stylist always find the very best pieces on the high street, and today she wore one of the most flattering denim dresses we've seen in some time. She wore a blue midi denim dress with a corset style bodice by Warehouse, and layered it over a white shirt by & Other Stories. Last month I shared some of my skincare essentials to get your skin ready for spring (full post here). So I wanted to share a follow it up with the essentials you should be doing now to get your skin ready ready for swimsuit season!

1. Your full-body skincare routine: The first thing people see during bikini season is your beautiful skin, so start giving it some TLC! Get that flawless skin started now by exfoliating regularly, detoxing, and sealing in that moisture. I read about citrus baths as a way to help get rid of toxins and even out skin tone – it’s also a great mood-booster. For moisturizing, Olay just launched their Cleansing Infusions collection and the products are clinically proven to make your skin radiant and give it a glow. My skin always dries out so much during the summer (especially here in Utah) so I love any product that’s hydrating and the Cleansing Infusions lock in so much moisture. There are two scents and they both smell sooo good – you guys have to try them and tell me what you think! You can order them here or also pick them up in-store at Ulta.
2. Protecting your skin: Protect, protect, protect! I have become such a fanatic about skincare. I used to never wear sunscreen but now that I have gotten older and learned all the issues and havoc sun damage causes on your skin, I don’t leave the house without it! I use the Olay Whip moisturizer in the morning which has SPF before I put on my foundation. I also keep a bottle of the Kate Somerville SPF 50 setting spray in my bag so if we are spending a long time in the sun or playing in the water, I can quickly spray my face to make sure it’s still protected but not mess up my makeup. Protect your skin now to help prevent issues in the future. 🙂
3. Bronze up! Even though I am wearing high SPF I still like to look tan! Anyone else? I am naturally a little dark (I’m Colombian) but I also use self-tanner, especially on my face. These oil drops you mix with your moisturizer are my favorite. They don’t make you look orangey or streaky. It says to put a moisturizer on after you apply, but I found it goes on more smoothly if I mix it with my moisturizer.
4. Your fitness routine or new healthy eating habits. They say you start to see changes in your body within 4 weeks of starting a new healthy eating or fitness regimen, and others start to notice after 8 weeks. That means now is the time to start hitting it hard at the gym or to cut out those foods you’ve been having second thoughts about. I know it’s so hard to stay motivated – at least for me it is at times – so have a friend join the challenge and plan fun rewards when you guys complete each week. Maybe it’s a girls’ dinner or pedicures, just something to help keep you motivated. Don’t forget to take progress pics! Sometimes you forget how much you’ve improved until you look back!
5. Practicing self-love. At the end of the day, what stands out most during swimsuit season is confidence. Whatever size you wear, or however dark or non-existent your tan, what is most beautiful is your own confidence in a swimsuit. I’ve recently started to appreciate the power of positive affirmations, so start now and tell yourself every day how amazing your body is and how grateful you are for being you! That confidence will give you a glow that only comes from within.

Whatever your plans are for tonight we've found you the perfect outfit courtesy of Alexa Chung. This week Alexa wore a pair of light wash straight-leg high-waisted jeans with a black top, bringing out the 'going out top' uniform we all depended on back in the '00s. Her top has a very 2018 vibe thanks to the square neckline and micro buttons down the front, and has a pretty tulle ruffle along the neckline and on the sleeves. The resurgence of '90s fashion is a bit funny. While on the one hand, it's brought us incredible outfits featuring slip dresses and kitten heels, there's also a raft of trends we'd like to keep in the past. After reaching out to the rest of the Who What Wear team, we reminisced about all the pieces we used to be so proud to own but can't imagine ever wearing again (we think). From the more embarrassing looks to downright odd ensembles, there are plenty of strange and hilarious pieces we'll try avoiding in the future. Meghan Markle and her best friend Priyanka Chopra have both perfected an easy outfit that always looks expensive. Yesterday Priyanka wore a utility khaki skirt with double buttons down the front, a belted high waist, and a flared silhouette, paired with a simple black body. It's a similar outfit to one Meghan wore last year, as she paired a high-waisted over-the-knee khaki skirt by Joseph with a black rollneck. This skirt style is so elegant, it will make it look like you shop on Bond Street, even if you're buying the £20 ASOS version. Guys!!  I am soooooo excited to finally launch my Lightroom presets with you guys and even MORE EXCITED to see your photos with them! These are all presets I use on my own photos every day! This pack comes with 6 different presets to use on your photos. I wanted to create a set that was about bringing to life and beauty in the colors we see around us! Below are some before and afters so you can see how they work 🙂 There is also a little description with the style or vibe behind them too. Hope you love them!

HF1: LIFE IN COLOR

This is my go-to preset. The name was inspired by my love for color! I’m continually inspired by the vibrant colors around us – it’s about bringing ‘life’ to every photo! Bright that rich color to every photo with this preset to make any color come to life. Infuse everyday moments with a “life in color”.

HF2: RED HOT TAMALE

This preset was named after our families favorite candy: Hot Tamales 😉 This preset is about making those bold reds even bolder with the Red Hot Tamale filter. It’s the perfect preset for an image that pops.

HF3: LESS IS MORE

Sometimes less is more. This preset is perfect for those images that just need a little pick me up. With whiter whites and more muted tones, this is for the minimalist looking for a clean photo.

HF4: SUNSET TO SUNRISE

Cameras never do a sunrise or sunset justice. No matter what I shoot it one, I feel like what your eye sees is so much brighter and richer! This preset is about bringing the color our eyes see to life in a photo. Capture the magic of the most beautiful time of day with this preset to make tones more vibrant.

HF5: B&W VINTAGE POLAROID:

Add a vintage, polaroid feel to your shots with this warm black and white edit. With a soft contrast, this perfect preset for really sunny images and beach pics for capturing those truly postcard worthy moments.

HF6: B&W MIDNIGHT MOOD:

A moody take on a classic black and white edit, the Midnight Mood filter is the perfect preset to capture all the feels in black and white.

These presets are made for both jpeg and raw images. I shoot a majority of my instagram pictures on my iphone so I wanted them to work with jpeg images! I find myself having to adjust them a little more with raw files but raw will allow you to manipulate color easier and give you a higher quality photo. If you are using these presets on jpeg images just take the grain all the way down to 0.

If there's one item that defines summer dressing for 2018 it has got to be a polka dot dress. The high street has been well and truly inundated with spotty print dresses, and this trend shows no sign of losing momentum. There's one colourway that in particular is reigning supreme — white polka dots. Emily Ratajkowski confirmed that this is the number one outfit for summer yesterday, wearing a white silk spotty dress with a thigh high slit at the front, a deep V neckline and slithers of cut-outs across the ribs. She paired it with a crossbody handbag and a pair of classic white trainers. Just this month we told you of a Topshop polka dress that has caused a shopping storm — and just like Emily's, it's a white polka print midi dress with a deep V neck line. Skinny jeans are often declared 'over' within fashion circles, however we doubt that this jeans style is ever going to fall from grace as skinnys are still one of the top selling fits. Yesterday Rosie Huntington-Whitely proved that sometimes nothing beats a pair of blue skinny jeans, wearing her classic wash high-waisted skinnys tucked into a pair of ankle boots. SPRING SPRING SPRING! Doesn’t it just make you so happy! Today is two casual everyday looks in my favorite classic neutral tones. I always have a jacket in my car for those sporadic cold days, and it’s still really cool at night here. We just launched this military jacket at ILY and I love how it’s a statement piece but still neutral so it works with anything. We also just added these denim shorts (under $100) and I love the wash and fit. So excited it’s getting time for shorts season again! Also these white sandals are kind of a dupe of a designer pair but I love them so much! I wore them a ton on our beach trips earlier this year and they just restocked the sizes! They are under $100 too!

This month's early on-set summer has sent many into a sandal-related panic — from the SOS pedicure to the hunt for something that will last until September. There is one pair of Zara sandals however that we keep spotting on our Instagram feeds, and the design defies the £26 pricetag. Zara's crossover strap leather sliders in tan, blue and a bold red are elegant and expensive-looking, but the price means that if you want you could even buy all three. Happy Monday guys!! How was your weekend? Ever since it’s started warming up here we can’t help but to be outside as much as possible. These pics were from last week, One of B’s favorite things to do lately is ride his bike around the neighborhood (before everyone freaks out about not having his helmet one- he has one and wears it!! He just wanted to show our friends his new bike before Cody went to dinner with his friends 🙂 On laid back days like this I totally go for my typical mom uniform which usually includes comfy jeans (these are under $100) and a good basic tank. These distressed jeans are so comfy and I love wearing them with more casual outfits. I’m also obsessed with these layered necklaces (here and here) and have been wearing them with everything!

This weekend Mara and Wes were over (I always get so many dm’s asking why they aren’t in more pics, or who these new kids in my insta stories are lol, so I know I sound like a broken record but they are my step babies and we only have them part time 🙂 We started doing yard work this weekend, and some spring cleaning getting ready to have people over! We have a covered patio in the back on the second floor of our house and we haven’t done anything with it since we moved in, it had patio furniture I bought the summer before but we were gone so much it never got assembled 🙈 so this weekend we cleaned it all up and finally put the furniture together! I had this fun idea to build a tent and camp outside on the patio, sleep under the stars with the kids and eat popcorn all night. It was going to be perfect, so we borrowed my sister in laws tent, attempted to set it up – Cody and I ended up arguing over how to put up the tent half way into it lol, realized it wouldn’t stay up super well because it’s on a patio and we don’t have dirt to secure it down to, so needless to say my picture perfect tent night under the stars turned into a disgruntled mess! Ha! Cody and I ended up laughing about it because I think as a parent sometimes we create these “special” moments in our head of what we want something to be, and it doesn’t work out! So the next night, Cody pulled our mattresses onto the deck and set up the tv with popcorn and blankets all sweet to surprise us. We started to watch The Wizard of Oz, and realized how noisy it was and that we all get allergies haha – we bagged it again.

Now everyone is asleep in our room and I’m wide awake for some reason, watching reruns of The Office, and just thinking about how thankful I am for family…. anyways – have you guys had one of those moments you build up in your head and it doesn’t quite work out 😉

This weekend at every turn I saw another floral midi dress and it seems like Meghan Markle's approach to summer city dressing is no different. At an event for the Invictus Games in London on Saturday Meghan wore a green floral pleated midi dress by the go-to label for luxury dresses at a sharp price point, Self Portrait. This brand is known for its now signature sculpted lace dresses however this season it moved its aesthetic forward by reworking the classic tea dress. Meghan proved once again that she is going to have a more modern approach to traditional royal dressing, as although it has a conservative knee-length, the dress has a fashion-forward off-the-shoulder neckline. Green floral print midis have been the surprise hit of the season, as dresses from ASOS, Kitri and more in this style can't be restocked fast enough. 

When it comes to smart dresses it can be difficult to find a coat or jacket that doesn't look awkward sat with the dress, however Meghan masterly paired her midi with an Alexander McQueen classic black blazer. This worked so perfectly because it pulls out the black which is in the floral print. It is usually assumed that you need to choose between trends or sustainability, because the two of these things don't come hand in hand. In 2018 there are a number of brands challenging this notion, and none more so than East-London based Birdsong. The Hackney label creates T-shirts with slices of oranges and avocados across the boobs, and vinyl black jackets – items that make up a typical Dalston wardrobe. However Birdsong is serious about its accountability, and sticking to the promise 'no sweatshop and no photoshop.'
