The 4th of July is always one of my favorite holidays. We usually go to lake in Montana to spend it with my family and I look forward to the tradition every year! Whether you are BBQing with friends, spending it on the way, or just keeping it low-key at home, dressing up in red, white, and blue will make it feel more festive! FOR THE BEACH BABE

If you are heading to the water, there’s nothing like a festive suit so beat the heat and celebrate the 4th! I just got this gingham swimsuit and couldn’t believe the price. It’s on sale and soooo cute (comes in tons of colors/patterns!) I also love this ribbed bikini top and bottom – I love it in navy to balance out the feminine/flirty feel of the ruffles. A cute pair of sunglasses are another must! Love this pretty blue pair and they are on sale under $50.

FOR THE FRIENDS + FIREWORKS

Backyard BBQs, s’mores, and fireworks call for cute but comfortable. I love any excuse to put on a dress and since we’ve gone 3+ months without a good one, the 4th seems like the perfect opportunity to go big or go home with a red, white, and blue ensemble. Now to narrow it down to just one… haha. I love this dress which comes in three colors (the white and red would both be so good!). It’s under $50 and a timeless silhouette you would wear for multiple occasions. I ordered this one which is such a pretty combo of RW&B all in one piece. Also love the back detail on this gingham dress (so good!) and how pretty is this off-the-shoulder option?

FOR THE LOW-KEY, LOUNGERS

If you’re laying low this 4th of July, just add some color or stars and stripes to your outfit to make it feel more like a celebration. Keep it casual but cute with some staples like a cute denim or paper-bag short (just got this pair) or make a statement with this striped pair. You can bring in more color with festive accessories like this striped bandana or these sandals (love this color combo!). Also obsessed with this striped scrunchy!

We added an ottoman next to the bath months after we moved in and I can’t recommend it enough especially if you have kids!

Hi guys! Excited to share our master bath reveal! We actually shot it in early February, before all of the quarantine stuff hit. I was planning on posting early March but with everything going on it didn’t feel like the right time so here we are months later 🙂

Our bathroom is one of my favorite rooms in our house. There’s nothing better than taking a long, hot bath with a view of the valley! Cody and I both wanted a really big tub, we love to take baths. It’s a great size it can actually fit us both and Cody is over 6ft. I take a bath almost every single night in the winter, a little less in the summer just because it gets so hot, but I love that quiet time so much. I light a bunch of candles dim, down the lights and relax with a magazine and tea on my bath tray. One of the main focal points in the space is this beautiful chandelier. I can’t imagine our bathroom now without it.– so stunning! And then did these beautiful brass sconces  on our vanity to match it.

One of our main starting points was the vanity – I loved the European look of the metal legs and we found this amazing company, Palmer Industries, and they were so amazing to work with. I always want to call out the super great companies cause it makes all the difference. Everything is completely customizable, the color, style, shelves, if you are building for check out their stuff! I love how they turned out and it makes the bathroom feel really open. To make up for the lack of closed storage with the vanity, we did large vanity cabinets. I love all the shelving in there.

For almost all the tile in our house, we used Bedrosians. Another amazing company we worked with. The shower we wanted to do contrasting sizes, so did small 1×1 square tiles on the floor  and brought that pattern up on to the wall tile in the shelves, and had these inset shelves installed by Bedrock Quartz (who also did our fireplace). The large slabs for the shower walls (also Bedrosians) are one of my favorite parts of the space, we looked at so many different pieces and the way these ended up lining up – I’m obsessed. It’s four large sheets of porcelain, it looks like giant slabs of marble but more affordable alternative if you want to save a little.

Last but not least wanted to talk about our faucets. We decided to mix metals in our bathroom which I love how it turned out. Our hardware and lighting is brass, and all our faucets are polished nickel. We went through so many options before we finally settled on all of the Polished Nickel finishes from Brizo. A majority of our faucets in our home are from Brizo (you can see them in our kitchen reveal here too) Their pieces are so beautiful and brought in the perfect luxe European feel I wanted to incorporate into the space. I especially love the widespread faucet on our vanity faucets. Their polished nickel has the tiniest bit of warmth to it so it flows perfectly with the other brass finishes in the space.

Special shout out to Erin Hansen our interior designer, she was so patient and really helped bring the things I loved to life. She is so great and putting everything together to make a space feel unified!

My favorite thing in the world is seeing Cody as a dad. It makes me tear up thinking about how amazing he is to our kids and all he does for our little family! Sometimes life gets so busy and it’s easy to look past everything dads do for us and so I love fathers’ day because it allows you to really slow down and look at all the little things you some times miss. Being home together every day during this quarantine has actually been so amazing because I feel like it put things into perspective on how important (and FUN!) it is to play and laugh together as a family- really focus on each other which has made us want to try and be that way all the time. With Fathers day coming up I’ve been trying to count my blessings with Cody and stop and focus on all the little things he does every day for us.

Here are my top 3 favorite things about Cody as a dad:

1. At night Cody is amazing at shutting off his phone and everything that could tie him into work and so he can have family time really focus on playing with the kids, and having dinner together. After dinner, we all love too and wind down play board or card games as a family and its so fun to have that time with no distractions.
2. He is such a good example for the boys! Beckam and Wes look up to Cody so much and I absolutely love that. They always want to dress just like their dad from hat to shoes, and do what he loves to do like going on adventures outside, riding dirt bikes or playing sports- it’s seriously so cute! Ollie loves his dad too he will say “dada” and just smiles so big.
3. He is so creative with the kids – his love language is quality time so he will make up the craziest games or think of fun things to do that I would never think of haha. Like he made up a board game for chores – and the kids actually like to do it!

Growing up I was such a daddies girl- and still am, and always wanted to make sure that whoever was the dad to my kids was as close to our kids as I was to my dad.  Okay, I’m done with the sappy rant over Cody lol- I want to know what you’re favorite things are about the dads in your life!

Hi guys. This week has been such a major wake up call for a lot of us. There has been so much footage shared – some videos make me well up with tears and the kindness and humanity that people are still showing each other and total strangers, even in the midst of madness, and then some videos make me feel sick to my stomach to see the violence and brutality happening simultaneously.

I’ve definitely been educating myself more about racism over these last few weeks,  but I also want to continue the conversation with my kids so they learn from a young age – not just so this next generation isn’t part of the problem, but so they can be part of the solution. I really believe it starts in the home, how we raise our kids.
